PRP Treatment

Also known as ‘The vampire face-lift’, and ‘Dracula therapy’. Using your own blood and a process that extracts the plasma to be used in the treatment.

Treatment using your own plasma

Also known as ‘The vampire face-lift’, and ‘Dracula therapy’. 55% of blood is made up of plasma. Plasma is a straw coloured liquid rich in platelets, white blood cells, stem cells, proteins, minerals, ions, growth factors, and chemical messengers; all important for healing and repair.

In order to separate and concentrate the plasma, a sample of the recipient’s blood is taken and ‘spun’ in a machine, the red blood cells sink to the bottom; the plasma rises to the top.

RESULTS
Results
Maximum collagen regeneration occurs around 3 months after the initial treatment, resulting in in plumper, lifted the skin with fewer lines and wrinkles. The results of the treatment are typically maintained for 18 – 24 months. Many patients opt to undergo touch-up treatments after one year to maintain their results.
RECOVERY TIME
Recovery Time
Tenderness on the 1st day that appears much like sunburn. Occasionally some bruising may occur. The initial redness will subside and some patients then notice some swelling and a sandpaper texture to the skin which may persist up until a week. Though you may notice these changes, you will not likely have any significant downtime as a result of these symptoms.
