Professional Studies
Jan studied at ‘Salford University’ as an undergraduate obtaining a Diploma in Nursing and a ‘First Class’ BSc (hons) in Professional Practice with a Higher award in ‘Medical Nursing’, also a qualification in ‘Teaching and Assessing’ of both Pre- and Post-Graduate Students. She is also an Independent Nurse Prescriber. She studied ‘MSc in Clinical Research at ‘Liverpool John Moores University’ graduating in 2006. This gave her the tools to understand the complexity of drug and medical device licensing. She continues to undertake ethics approved research within blemish clinic. She has a certificate in Dermoscopy from Cardiff University.

Jan Birch is an award-winning nurse who is highly respected and well-known within her field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
Jan’s years of medical research into dermatological skin conditions and skin cancers have been published in several clinical papers. Her work in aesthetics has also been published in European and trade industry journals, as well as featured in several mainstream publications such as the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Embarrassing Bodies and Sky TV.
Jan has campaigned for safety in the aesthetic Industry for many years and has been on both TV and Radio to discuss its importance.
