Consultant Psychologist

Kelsey Healey

Biography

Kelsey graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Liverpool University in 2005, working to the level of Consultant in the NHS before taking on the new challenge of private practice.

‘I’m excited about this new phase in my career and the opportunity to offer evidence-based psychological therapies to those who might not be able to access them at the right time through the NHS.’

Kelsey works using a trauma informed, formulation driven approach to support young people and adults to understand and change the patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that keep them from being what and where they want to be.

‘People are shaped by their experiences and helping them to recognise how and why is an empowering and healing process in itself.’

Kelsey has received further training in a range of therapies, including: Cognitive Analytical Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. This allows Kelsey to deliver integrative therapy that is fully informed by a person’s individual needs.

Kelsey is passionate that change can happen at any stage of life and that her work at Blemish can support young people and adults to be the best version of themselves.
